DesignerSocial is a private fashion industry club where members come to trade in designer handbags and accessories for new items or cash. We also sell new merchandise direct from the designers at trade discounts.
There are no fees to belong. You just need to be referred by another member. By cutting out the middle man, DS insures that you get quality, authentic merchandise at the best possible price (in some cases up to 75% off), directly from the designers themselves.
Where do you get your merchandise?
Our merchandise comes from the members themselves, or directly from the designers. Occasionally unique, one-of-a-kind pieces (ie: vintage) are also sourced at flea markets, auctions or sample sales.
Is it authentic?
YES. Internet fraud is inexcusable and illegal! We guarantee that every item for sale on our site is 100% authentic, and stand by our BUYER PROTECTION PLAN, which is a no-risk, return it no-questions-asked policy. For more info on this topic, click here.
What condition are the products in?
Every item offered for sale on DesignerSocial.com is either new, or undergoes a rigorous authenticity inspection, as well as a cleaning and reconditioning process before being listed for sale.
Is my information secure?
YES. Your confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. Please read our privacy policy for complete information on how we treat our members.
Do I have to log in every time I visit the site?
NO. If you click “Remember Me” you will be automatically logged in every time you visit. Click here to change this setting.
Do I have to log in to buy something?
YES. Members must log in to complete any transaction on the site (buying or selling). It’s the only way we can continue to guarantee privacy and exclusivity to both our members AND our designers.
What are my payment options?
We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover through our Secure check out system. All payments are handled by Paychex.
Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately no. Not at this time.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Only in the state of Louisiana.
How long will it take to get my order?
Standard shipping times apply (see "Easy Shipping") except in the case of items purchased in THE MARKETPLACE. These items are shipped to us from the Seller ONLY ONCE THEY ARE PURCHASED ON THE SITE. Once we receive the item(s) from the Seller, they are authenticated here, and then shipped out to Buyer. These items are identified in product details, and usually arrive within 10-14 days from order.

What if I’m not able to fill out your form online and/or upload photo(s)?
Call us! 888-802-2125. We’ll find out what you have, and tell you what we can sell for you.
Do I have to arrange to ship my item to you?
NO! Once we have spoken, or received your application to sell online, just box and tape your item(s) and we will schedule a pick-up for you.
How much of the sales price do I keep when my item sells?
65%. (DS takes a 35% commission, plus a $25 listing fee for each item, only after the sale goes through.) There are no upfront fees to participate.
How long does it usually take to sell an item? And can I have it back if I change my mind?
Depending on the item, the usual time is 7-30 days. If you decide you want the item back at any time (before it sells), we will send it back to you at your cost to ship.
What happens if my item doesn’t sell?
If an item has not sold after 60 days, DS will send it back to you at your cost, or we can keep the item, and re-list after another 30 days. You may also opt to donate the item to charity.
Do you buy any product upfront?
Yes. Depending on the item, we may make you a cash offer for your item upfront. In that case you would receive a check in 3-5 business days.
What items do you accept for sale and consignment?
We accept most premium designer brands that are in good condition and have been purchased in the last 5-10 years. Here is a list of the most commonly accepted:
How long does it take to receive payment once my item is sold?
All buyers have 7 days from the day it is received by them to inspect and/or return unused merchandised as long as none of the authenticity tags are removed and the item is in the same condition as it was received in. Once that grace period has passed we send a check to the seller (typically within 3 weeks of sale).
